Standalone Supercomputer by twallan

Positives: Major hack to help you view your town and Sim statistics and change things about your Sims.

Allows you to change traits per Sim and pick up to 9, instead of 5, when combined with Awesomemod! These show in your Sim trait panel as a scroll-down, but can't be used in CAS.

Allows you to edit your Sim's FEATURES (face and body) in CAS from the game.

Easy to use, click on any computer and select "Master Controller."

A little confusing at first -- you have to pick which Sim you want to edit before you get to the editing. If it's a Sim you're playing, select criteria "Current Lot" and click "Ok." It'll pop up a list of available Sims on the lot your selected Sim is on (non-player Sims, too) and you select which you want to edit.

Negatives: I haven't been able to get certain parts working at this time, such as: Kill Sim & Add Parent.

Be careful of conflicting hacks and read his warnings:

"As always, ensure that you backup your save files prior to installation of the computer. There are no warranties on the use of this mod. If your town implodes upon use, I might or might not care."

Backup your game by going to My Documents, Electronic Arts, and copying your The Sims 3 folder, then paste it to your desktop or in a specified backups area.

Positives: Giant mod that changes quite a bit about how your game functions.

Pick and choose features with this tool. Features can be enabled or disabled.

• Buy Sim-written books from bookstore.
• Allows owner of business to show as Sim's boss.
• Job difficulty scaling.
• Make a lot "ancestral" by including the family name in the title.
• Removes random non-player Sim events from happening without a reason (becoming fat, fired, or dying).
• Non-player Sims remove work uniforms on coming home from work.
• Plant on any lot.
• Timed autosave.
• Better genetic skin blending.
• Only one person can have certain jobs at a time, like company president or emperor of evil.
• Increased facial sliders.
  

Read the manual for more options.

For the most part, these aren't active things that change your gameplay but things that happen behind the scenes.

Negatives: Supreme Commander mode can't be turned off. Ever. It's also experimental.

Back up your game files. No, seriously, do it.

Go to My Documents, Electronic Arts, and copy the The Sims 3 folder, then paste it elsewhere on your computer. This is your backup in case your game implodes.

Teen Romance Mod by Lostaccount

Positives: Allows teen Sims to woohoo, try for baby, and get married.

A lot of people loved this for Sims 2 and asked for it in the basegame of Sims 3 (which was futile, of course).

I think people love it because this sort of thing is possible in the real world and they want their Sims to be realistic.

Negatives: Need special teen maternity clothes or else your pregnant teen Sim will just be a floating head.

Bedfix mod has a new version that prevents crashes and such -- I paid less attention to those details, but it's required you get the new version for this to work. Please read over the notes of this mod for further bugs.

Teen pregnancy is a touchy subject and not at all endorsed by this site, the maker of the mod, or the Sims. If you are under 18, don't download it if you have parents who might get upset with you, or just talk to them first and make sure they know you aren't interested in getting pregnant -- you just want Sim babies everywhere.

I have to admit, I've been waiting for careers to start rolling out.

No Mosaic by Rick

Positives: Removes the censor blur on your Sims without overwriting any game files (which can cause massive problems). Comes in a handy .package form for easy installation. Safe and easy to use.

Negatives: Removing censor blurs means you get flashed by your Sims! If you have prudish parents around, be careful with this. Also, the description of what this mod does is severely lacking -- Rick fails to use the term "censor blur" and instead calls it a "mosaic" which ends up confusing a lot of people.

You must be sure to follow the instructions given to install it. Otherwise your computer will make you cry.
